In 2010, BHPI3 and Surefire Music entered into a partnership to develop and promote a newly formed pop group.

Our team began by renaming the group The Varsity Girls and developing an entirely new, extremely marketable brand around them.  While Surefire worked with the girls to hone their performance talents, develop their sound and turn out hits in the studio, we set out to build their brand, increase their reach and aggressively market them.  We’ve helped them create their social media presence and build relationships with the media.  We’ve marketed their brand to some of the largest corporations in the world with success.  Most importantly, we’ve made them a hot musical band and brand.

In just a few months, the Varsity Girls have already made their presence known in the highly competitive music world. This fall the Varsity Girls released their first song on iTunes, “Be You.” They were featured in a Back to School Tour sponsored by Walmart—which we developed for the retail giant. We arranged for them to open for President Obama, as well as national recording artists, James Taylor, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, and Donnie Klang of MTV’s Making The Band.  We also arranged for them to perform at the Boston Tree lighting ceremony, and to sing the national anthem for the Red Sox at Fenway Park and the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. The Girls also recently recorded the theme song for Nickelodeon’s Halo Awards Show.  This spring they’ve been invited to perform with the Boston Pops.

Despite being a new group in a crowded and tough space, we’ve gotten the Varsity Girls extensive media play.  They’ve been featured in newspapers across the Northeast, including both the Boston Herald and Globe, and interviewed on the region’s most listened to radio stations.  Two of the nation’s most influential music bloggers recently profiled the band.  Additionally, they get tens of thousands of visitors to their website.

Recording artists spend years trying to get traction in the music industry.  We’ve put the Varsity Girls on the charts in less than a year.
